I grew up in a small Midwestern town. For years, I tied my worth to achievements, a path that eventually led me to New York City—a place of boundless opportunity where I sought to grow and learn.

Life’s challenges, including the loss of my sister during college, a difficult depressive period, and an unexpected divorce, transformed my understanding of resilience. I learned that true strength isn’t found in big victories but in the small, daily choices to keep going and persevere.

Today, I’m deeply grateful for the life I share with my partner, our children, and the community I’ve built through my work. I embrace the mantra, "Your whole story matters," believing that our past shapes us but doesn’t define us. It’s through honoring these stories—both ours and others—that we find connection, healing, and growth. Together, we can navigate life’s challenges and celebrate the beauty of resilience.
